About DVT&C

DVT was launched, by Steve Dickey and James Battin, largely in response to the frustrations they experienced while working with 3rd-party test laboratories as Technical Account Managers at Motorola. Steve and James believed these lab challenges were common across all OEMs and saw an opportunity to address the OEMs test needs by offering collaborative services and superior engineering/technical support.

In April 2015, Sprint designated DVT&C as their exclusive TTP lab. Since then, we have completed hundreds of project testing cycles as a Trusted Testing Partner.

With headquarters in Overland Park, KS, DVT&C provides end-to-end services that enable device manufacturers to expedite the development and carrier certification of its products and solutions.

Unlike other certification labs, DVT&C collaborates with its client's technical teams, to ensure the real-time discovery and root-cause analysis of hardware and/or software issues. We provide more than just "Pass/Fail" reports...we supply the engineering detail needed to reproduce and resolve issues quickly.

Steve Dickey

Vice President of Strategy and Automation

With over 15 years in the wireless industry, Steve has held a number of device development positions with Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions. He has obtained carrier approvals on over 200+ products/releases over the past decade, across North American operators including Sprint Nextel, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and SouthernLINC. Steve holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Alabama, and has a MBA degree from the University of Florida.

Matt Ware

Vice President of Operations

Matt has worked in wireless for more than 15 years with 10 years working at Sprint interfacing with OEM's for lab approvals. He has spent the last 5 years working for Motorola Solutions then Samsung bringing products to market.

James Battin

Founder

Jim has 20+ years of experience in wireless with the last 13 spent launching handsets with North American carriers. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and is also Marine Corp Veteran.
